The perfect music
when you want it
Every song, whether one of our custom covers or part of our original artist GameTime database, is screened by at least three people for both language and lyrics. This means you never have to worry about what’s going to play at your public forums. And, all of our covers are completely licensed for use in cheer and dance routines. This means you don’t have to worry about license fees.
Our Music Policy
For Neptune GameTime Cheer and Dance Music (CDM), we feature up-tempo music that is perfect for your routine, no matter the theme. Every song in our databases is triple-screened to ensure it meets this criteria. Any song that doesn’t goes on our “No Play List.” There are no exceptions to our Music Policy.
Here’s what you will
Never hear on Gametime:
Songs with profanity or racial slurs of any kind.
Songs where offensive language have been dropped or “bleeped out.”
Songs that are degrading and/or disrespectful to women.
Songs that encourage or glorify alcohol or drug use, sex, or guns.
Songs that encourage or glorify violence against women, police, or any specific group.
Songs that encourage or glorify illegal activity of any kind.
Music Licensing Fees
Any organization that plays music in public – be it radio, streaming service, or personal device – is subject to music licensing fees under US and International law.
For cheer and dance routine music mixes, this means that you cannot edit (other than for time), add to (e.g. add sound effects), or in any other way alter original artist songs without express approval via expensive music licensing fees. For this reason, most professional cheer and dance mix music providers use covers for which they have obtained all of the necessary music licenses.
For dance mixes that ONLY involve editing an original artist song for time, such licenses are not required. Please note, that for the actual public performance of any cheer and dance routine, the hosting venue is responsible for paying the necessary performance rights fees to the appropriate music agencies.
Customized Cheer and/or Dance Routines
Our custom-created professional covers sound just like the original versions, but they are fully-licensed meaning they can be used in any routine mix without you having to worry about music licensing fees – we’ve taken care of that for you!
Our covers Database already has over 100 of the most popular cheer and dance routine songs and we are adding to it all the time. Plus, we have an extensive collection of SFX for use in bringing your routines to life in the way you want them.
If you have a specific song or songs that you would like to use, we will be happy to evaluate it and if it meets our music screening criteria, we will create a cover version for use on customized routines.
Dance: Cut for Time Only Routines
For dance routines in which the ONLY edit being made is for time (e.g. NO sound effects or any other content alterations), then you can select from our existing GameTime database of over 33,000 songs. We will edit the requested song down to the requested time and deliver a music file for your use.
How it Works
Submitting requests for a cheer or dance routine is fast and easy, thanks to our online dashboard: Voyager. From your account in Voyager, you will be able to specify the type of routine your require, your song selections, and the date it is needed.
Please note: we require a minimum of two weeks notice to ensure we create the perfect mix for you.
Once you’ve selected your songs, you’ll be able to provide special instructions including SFX, shout-outs, and timings.
Completed mixes will be delivered to you in an MP3 file format along with any necessary documentation for proof of licensing. If you are a Gametime Partner, your mix will also be automatically loaded onto the On Demand section of the Neptune Media Player.
Pricing for GameTime CDM is based on the number of routine mixes purchased, with discounted pricing for multiple routines.
